General Meeting, Mon, 10/5, 4 pm, Kuiper 312; SEDS-USA Newsletter; SpaceVision floorspace
- - - General Meeting, Monday, October 5th, 4 pm, Kuiper 312 - - -
We will be having our next general meeting this Monday, October 5th at 4 pm in Kuiper 312. At this meeting, you can order/ pay for a UASEDS shirt. I will plan to order them Wednesday of next week, and they should arrive about 2 weeks later. Once again, we ask that your pay for the shirt ($10) before we order them so we do not have an excess amount of shirts. We will be discussing a few more details about the Kitt Peak trip planned for Saturday, October 10th at the meeting as well, so try and attend if you can. Also, I will likely be giving a presentation on my research experiences this summer at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and the James Webb Space Telescope (the topics are related!). I hope to see you there!

About four times per year, SEDS-USA publishes the NOVA Newsletter which has information about different chapter activities, space news, SEDS alumni interviews, and other interesting articles. If you would like to read the most recent NOVA, you can do so here: http://bit.ly/2G8yiZ (.pdf).

As you may (or may not) know, SpaceVision 2009 is the SEDS national conference that we here at the U of A are planning for mid November. We are expecting about 100 SEDS students from chapters all across the nation to attend, which brings me to the following quesion: Do you have any extra floor space/ beds that you would be willing to let other SEDS students use for the duration of the conference? In an effort to lessen the cost of attendance for SEDS conference attendees, I am reaching out to you all the see if you have any extra room to spare. If you are willing to help us out here, please send me an email. It would be greatly appreciated!
