Star Party/ Potluck, Catalina State Park, Friday, September 11th, 5 pm (meet in Steward/ Sonett parking lot)

UASEDS will be having a joint Star Party with Astronomy Club this Friday, September 11th. We will plan on meeting in the parking lot between Steward Observatory and the Sonett building at 5 pm sharp. It will be a potluck, so please bring potluck-like items (see below for a complete list of items already being brought). If you are unable to bring items, please plan on bringing $3 to help purchase other food. We will be driving to Catalina State Park (about 15 miles north of campus) for the Star Party. If you are able to drive and can take other people, please let me know.

We will be bringing the UASEDS telescope, several telescopes from Steward Observatory, and a few personal scopes. If you plan to attend, please email me, letting me know what you plan to bring, if you can drive people, and how many people will be coming with you (potluck-contributing friends are welcome!).

The following items are already being brought:
Soda and Water
Fruit Salad
Condiments
Napkins and Apples
Chips
Cups and Paper Plates and Couscous
Burgers and Buns and Cheese
Hot Dogs and Buns
Oreos

I am sure since we will have a few dozen people attending, we can afford to have multiples of the items listed above. We still need items such as charcoal, lighter fluid, and s'mores...

On a different note - As a reminder, you can still declare your intent to run for Technology Officer or National Rep until this Friday at 5 pm (email me with your intent, questions, etc.).
