General Meeting 09/28/09
UASEDS would like to encourage members to take HOV training with the school before Nov 12th, if they can
Members can visit: http://risk.arizona.edu/training/index.shtml for a listing of the available times
Members need to be at least 19 year old and had a license for 3 years
The SpaceVision 2009 speaker list will be posted up
UASEDS members are encouraged to volunteer at SpaceVision for a waver on the admissions
SpaceVision meetings are held in the UASEDS office at noon
At seds.org, people can post up resumes for large space companies to see
Members can also look for scholarships and post images of events at seds.org
Flandrau is looking for more volunteers for their public outreach events
To sign up as a volunteer, go to the Flandrau website
UASEDS will try to arrange a group training session if there is enough interest
There is a UASEDS trip to Kitt Peak on Oct 10th, which we should be able to get a tour of 90 inch telescope
Members are to talk to Kevin if they are interested
Members that are going will need to meet at the SEDS office at 10 am on Oct 10th
If members need to be reimburse for the drive up to BIOSPHERE, please contact Kevin for that information
There will be a Mirror Lab tour after SpaceVision
There is a UASEDS facebook group
Kevin is asking for members to volunteer tonight for a Youth Camp event, which is to show astronomy to under-privileged kids
Members that are interested are to meet near the UASEDS office around 5:30 pm
There are UASEDS T-shirts for sale
If members are interested in purchasing a shirt, please contact Kyle with your size
UASEDS t-shirts cost $10
For the next SEDS meeting, we will be having one of our grad student present what he has been researching
