Last meeting of the semester - NOTE: Different time/ location
I hope you all had a relaxing break. I have just a few announcements
Our last meeting of the semester will be this Thursday, December 4th at 4:30 pm in Steward 450. (Please note the time and location difference! Steward N305 was booked.). We will be discussing (among other items) our plans for next semester including trips, projects, and meeting times.
Groups for the Rockoon project and SpaceVision 2009 planning have been formed. If you are still interested in joining either group, each one will be meeting this Sunday, December 7th in the SEDS Office (Conference Planning at 12 pm; Rockoon at 2 pm).
Before everyone leaves for the end of the semester, we will plan on having one more game/ movie night. Stayed tuned for specifics in a later email.
A quick reminder from Jon Card:
"The NewSpace Business Group is hosting a discussion where Jon Card (I) will be talking about NewSpace market and what's happening today on Wednesday, December 3rd, at 4 PM in room 122 in McClelland Hall (north-west corner of campus, about the corner of Park and Speedway). Feel free to send my any questions you know that you'll have, and I'll try to get them in, but questions will be welcome at the talk, as well.
I'm an MBA candidate for 2010 and I haven't worked previously in aerospace. I'll be applying the research I've been doing over the last several years and the principles that first year business students learn in the first quarter. This isn't a class presentation, nor will we be talking about engineering principles. We'll be talking about how to get it done."
