hi,
The Japanese Kaguya spacecraft is expected to crash land on the
surface of the Moon on June 11, 2009 at 3:30 am (Japan Standard Time).
That makes it midnight of June 10 in India. You can use the Time Zone
Converter (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html) to
get hold of your local time.
This puts India in a unique position before the June 17 launch of
United States' Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO). Between June 11 and
June 17, 2009, India's Chandrayaan 1 will be the only lunar orbiter in
orbit around the Moon, consequent to the Kaguya crash on June 11.
warm regards,
Pradeep
