SEDS chapters have expanded all across the country! Interested in being founder and president of your own club? Start a chapter at your school and help bring other like-minded students together. Having a chapter at your university allows students to have a place to collaborate on projects, share opportunities and meet students of all majors who share a common interest.
To find out more information on the steps to start your chapter, email Chair of the Council of Chapters, Emily Judd at email@example.com or Chapter Expansion Manager, Anand Biradar at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or if you’re feeling ambitious get started below.
Becoming a registered member of SEDS-USA gives you access to our annual student-run conference SpaceVision, where students have the opportunity to network with industry professionals.
Members also have excusive access to the Rocketry and Business Plan competitions. Students can either enter alone or with their chapters to compete for cash prizes. The winners for both competitions will be announced at the SpaceVision conference.
Participating members have a chance to win scholarships donated by SEDS-USA founders Peter Diamandis, Bob Richards and the late Todd B. Hawley. For a full list of scholarships and qualifications, see our Awards page.
Finally, as a member, you will be invited to networking opportunities around the country. For example, this past year SEDS-USA invited its members to a meet-up in San Jose, California during the NewSpace 2015 conference. You can also join other chapters in Google+ On Air Hangouts with industry leaders in our monthly installments of SpaceTalks.
